Katici is tiny town in the middle of Brezova community of Stari Vlah area.
The place is unavoidable in touristic offer of Serbia, when rural tourism is concerned. Attractive nature, absolutely clear and healthy environment and perfect altitude of 1000 m put this place among the most beautiful spas in Serbia.
Above Katici rises Mucanj, a mountain more than 1500 metres high offering splendid view in all directions. Near its top is situated well Savina voda, much visited throughout the year because folklore praise its healing powers. At the foot of Mucanj, near the Grabovica river origin, situated is the Sveti Nikola churh, known as the White church. It's a legacy of despot Stefan Lazarevic, important architectural monument covered with fresco paintings of great cultural and historical value.
In Katici itself originates Mali Rzav, and rivers Grabovica and Veliki Rzav have wells nearby. Rivers are rich with trout, clean and transparent, their canyons will take you to a dreamland. The whole area is forested, full of different game, so hunting is popular and well organized. Nearby is deer reserve, some ten hectares in size.
Special attraction is sightseeing of environment and surrounding peaks in a small train of Obradovic family. That is open vehicle with 12 seats always at service to pension guests. There is nothing to limit your views during sightseeing, so you'll get unique experience of nature beauties. Combined with hospitality of people of Stari Vlah region, place obviously attract people. Pastoral images bring everyone to come back here, to enjoy in peace and beauty of unspoilt environment. Katici is 22 km from Ivanjica and 14 km from Prilicki Kiseljak spa.
Two major roads can take you there: one via Arilje, and another one via Guca. Via Nova Varos there is connection towards Montenegro and Adriatic. |
